Every year during the Lakmé Fashion Week, the spotlight is on the hottest stars from Bollywood who take centre stage as showstoppers. It was no different this year either at the Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive '16.
Let's take a look at the stars who scorched the ramp this season.
Beginning with the stars who burned up the red carpet, here’s DeepikaPadukone in an appearance for Sabyasachi's show in a traditional green saree. She contrasted it with Goth style black lipstick and nail paint. And boy, did it work. She looked fabulous.
SushmitaSen looked elegant as always in a sheer white saree. She paired it with a no-jewellery look.
The new girl on the block stole the show for AMOH by Jade. Making her Bollywood debut in HrithikRoshan'sMohenjoDaro as a woman living in the time of the Indus Valley civilization, PoojaHegde went for a more modern look on the ramp in a boho-chic outfit.
She couldn't resist wearing jewellery from that era though. Was it part of her costume in the film, we wonder.
Radhika slayed it in a bridal ensemble for designer SarojaJalan's show. She wore a Zardozi embellished red lehenga with floral motifs and dancing peacocks.
With a MaangTikka and an intricate Kundan with South Sea pearls, she looked every bit a Rani from the Rajput era.
The actress, who will be seen in Rock On 2 next, walked the ramp for Sonam and ParasModi. She looked stunning dressed in an ethnic chic black and golden outfit.
ShilpaShetty turned showstopper for designer Anushree Reddy. She was featured in a bridal look with a scarlet red lehengacholi with golden embroidery. Catching our eye however was the intricate necklace she pulled off in style.
And here's the Begum herself. KareenaKapoor Khan looked absolutely regal in a Mughal style kurti-lehenga. She carried it off impressively with a maangtikka adding nuance to her outfit.
If that wasn't enough, she walked the ramp with a baby bump. That's worthy of applause.
So, what was your favourite look this season?
